Deputy Director Global Communications, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum
As Deputy Director, Global Communications, Tina Vaz is responsible for strategic oversight of communications, public and media relations, marketing, and social media for the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York and for the Guggenheim Foundation’s wide range of global initiatives. Vaz joined the Guggenheim in 2011 as Director of Communications for the BMW Guggenheim Lab and later served as Director of Global Communications for the Guggenheim Helsinki and Abu Dhabi projects.
Before moving to New York, Vaz worked as a writer, editor, and communications consultant at the PBS flagship station WGBH in Boston. She also served as Director of Communications for Cambridge, Massachusetts–based architecture firm Tsoi/Kobus & Associates. She began her career at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard University teaching hospital. Vaz received a degree in journalism from Boston University.
