Chris Marshall is the Founder and CEO of Chris Marshall Advancement Consultants (CMAC). He brings over 18 years of experience in the advancement industry and specializes in alumni engagement strategies and best practices. Launched in March 2019, CMAC serves the higher education industry with focus and expertise in alumni engagement, strategic planning, volunteer management, board management, measuring alumni engagement, training, coaching, and interim staffing in the Alumni Relations industry.
In 2017, Chris was named President of Graduway, North America. Graduway is the world’s leading provider of alumni networking and career mentoring software. Trusted by 800+ educational institutions (500+ in North America) to engage alumni and provide career guidance to students. The vision of the company is rooted in the belief that the alumni network is at the heart of improving philanthropy, employability, and enrollment. Chris serves as a member of Graduway’s management team leading the company’s effort to identify and cultivate prospective clients, support and steward existing clients, and provide marketing guidance and industry thought leadership.
Prior to Graduway, Chris served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Grenzebach Glier and Associates (GG+A) beginning in 2013 and worked with over 100 institutions around the world.
From 2008 to 2013 Chris served as Associate Vice President for Alumni Affairs at Cornell University.
Prior to joining Cornell, Chris served for seven years (2001-2008) as Executive Director of the Lehigh University Alumni Association.
Chris has been a featured speaker at Graduway, CASE, IDPE, and Academic Impressions conferences all over the world.
Chris holds a bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University.
