Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations, Bellarmine University
Dr. Glenn F. Kosse was appointed Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations at Bellarmine University in December, 2005. During his tenure at Bellarmine, he led the University to the completion of a $100M capital campaign, the largest in its history. The highlight of the campaign was the effort to raise $25M for Centro, the largest building project the University has undertaken. Mr. Kosse is responsible for all facets of development, alumni relations, athletic fundraising, special events, and legislative affairs, leading a team of 18 professionals who work with the campus community, deans, alumni, donors, and friends in pursuit of the University’s external goals.
Prior to his tenure at Bellarmine, Dr. Kosse spent four years as the Associate Vice President of Development and Alumni Affairs at the University of Louisville. In this position he managed the daily operations of the development department, with responsibility for raising over $50 million per year and overseeing approximately 50 employees. He was responsible for developing new programs, working with deans and academic leaders, and directing donor cultivation and development. Before his tenure at the University of Louisville, Dr. Kosse spent 14 years with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in a variety of positions, including regional director of a five-state area and also as the national director of field marketing, working with regional offices and staff across the country to implement successful fundraising programs.
Glenn holds a Ph.D. in Leadership in Higher Education from Bellarmine University, a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Louisville and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Notre Dame. His research interests center on alumni engagement and giving.
